Valley Care is a business that empowers people through purpose and organic support. We wanted to create a garden that represents this philosophy.
What story does the garden tell?
How nature feeds and supports itself when set up correctly parallels our Landscape gardening business. We empower people with disabilities by creating a natural supportive environment that will eventually grow to sustain itself.
Building the insect hotels
How is the "wedding cake" constucted?
The sub-structure is supported with a frame just like under your floor at home. Layers of thick plywood were then added and thin plywood and corrugated iron were added to the fronts to support the insect hotels.
What has been used for the insect hotels?
Everything from gumnuts and banksia cones to paperbark and dead heads off plants in our community garden.
